Is there such a thing as a poet’s novel, a text which uniquely traverses boundaries between genres? Why do poets turn to novels? Poet and novelist Laynie Browne, whose most recent book is Lost Parkour Ps(alms), examines this erratic, hybrid and often elusive form.

Laynie Browne is a poet and novelist whose most recent book is Lost Parkour Ps(alms) (2014). She is also the author of nine collections of poetry, including Roseate, Points of Gold (2011), The Desires of Letters (2010), The Scented Fox (2007), winner of the National Poetry Series, Daily Sonnets (2007), and Drawing of a Swan Before Memory (2005), winner of the Contemporary Poetry Series. She is a three time recipient of the Gertrude Stein Award in Innovative Poetry, and received a 2014 Pew Fellowship in the Arts. She lives in Philadelphia.
