Poet and editor Saskia Hamilton looks at three post-war American poets, examining their formal innovation and selective use of the confessional, as well as their complex mutual friendships.
Saskia Hamilton is the author of two books of poetry, Divide These (2005) and As for Dream (2011), Her collection Canal was published in the UK in 2005. She is co-editor of Words in Air: The Complete Correspondence between Elizabeth Bishop and Robert Lowell (2005) and editor of The Letters of Robert Lowell (2005). She teaches in the English Department of Barnard College, where she is also Director of the Women Poets of Barnard Program.
