In honor of seminal San Francisco Renaissance poet, anarchist and gay activist Jack Spicer (1925-1965) this symposium also marks the publication of My Vocabulary Did This to Me: The Collected Poetry of Jack Spicer, edited by Peter Gizzi and Kevin Killian. The long awaited collection includes unpublished and hard-to-find works by Spicer.
