One City, Many Poems

One City, Many Poems is a program of poetry discussion groups and related events put together by Poets House in collaboration with the Brooklyn Public Library, The New York Public Library and the Queens Library in conjunction with Immigrant Heritage Week 2010. Based on the popular reading-group model used by libraries for nonfiction and fiction, poetry discussions focus on poetry from around the world and took place in public library locations across the five boroughs. Latino, Chinese, Middle Eastern, Russian, African, Caribbean, Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi poetry were among the selections chosen for discussion.

This initiative was made possible by generous funding from the Brooklyn Community Foundation.
