Poetry in The Branches National Institute
The 2013 Poetry in The Branches National Institute will be a special one-day training session for Children’s and Youth Services Librarians!
Connect personally with our guest poets and speakers including Newberry Award-winning author Nancy Willard, poet Dave Johnson and others with long term experience working with young people, who will provide practical tips and inspiration to attendees. Explore our 50,000-volume collection and discover resources for developing your library’s poetry collection with an eye toward youth and children. Institute training subjects will include programming, publicity tips, evaluation and marketing. Attendees will leave with a practical poetry plan for their own library and lots of nuts-and-bolts information to help make that plan a reality.
Thanks to a generous grant for the Marcia Brady Tucker Foundation registration is free to librarians from the New York Public Library, Brooklyn Public Library, and Queensborough Public Library Systems.
