Poet Vijay Seshadri addresses the life and work of this prolific British-born poet, who spent much of his life in New York creating an unparalleled body of work.

Joan Larkin’s My Body: New and Selected Poems received the Publishing Triangle’s Audre Lorde Award. She taught for 24 years at Brooklyn College and now teaches in Drew University’s low-residency MFA program.

Our annual poetic pilgrimage from City Hall to Fulton Ferry Landing across one of the world’s architectural treasures will feature readings by Marie Howe, Thomas Lux, Sharon Olds and 2012 Pulitzer Prize winner Tracy K. Smith, followed by a festive dinner at Bubby's Brooklyn.

Tom Sleigh is the author of seven collections of poetry, including Army Cats and Space Walk, which received the Kingsley Tufts Award. He teaches in the Creative Writing MFA Program at Hunter College.

Carol Muske-Dukes is the former Poet Laureate of California and a professor at the University of Southern California. Her most recent books of poetry are Twin Cities and Sparrow, a National Book Award finalist.
