Poet and essayist Jane Hirshfield begins this special event with a reading from her work that engage science and natural history, including poems from the newly published The Beauty.

The Natural World of California: Poetry with Cedar Sigo, Juliana Spahr, and Tanya Sarmina

Enjoy readings by poets Cedar Sigo, Juliana Spahr, and Tanya Sarmina in the Oakland section of the Gallery of California Natural Sciences. They will use poetry to explore the gallery as a site for creative expression, while inspiring and educating viewers about parts of the natural world we often take for granted.
