Poets House : |
Meeting Place |
| |
Poets House seeks to make a place where all are welcome and where readers and writers of poetry can come to find the community they seek. The space is comfortable and informal. Visitors are welcome to bring coffee or a snack. Quiet conversation is welcome, although visitors are encouraged to be aware of others' needs for quiet. Frequent receptions, including one after each public program, encourage conversation among audience members. Through special rental agreements, we make the space available to small groups who need a place to meet.
We encourage visitors from out of town to come by to see the collection, pick up a Manhattan Poetry Map for an introduction to the city's literary services and history, and learn about events going on throughout the city during the course of your visit. |
